A great experience! The area is absolutely beautiful for riding (so calm and green in winter) and the guide is experienced and very kind. You feel well taken care of and learn a lot about the horses and the surroundings. The horses are well treated and clearly cared for with love and respect. Highly recommended – you're not treated like another tourist, but in a very personal way. We were even lucky enough to ride alone with the guide! Individual needs are taken into account and the whole experience feels warm and welcoming. Thank you Sue & Freddy, all the best 🐎✨

The team was lovely and the horses looked good take cared! As first time riders we absolute loved the experience! Our guide, Fred, was the best! He made us feel safe and offered us a beautiful tour! The price was absolutely fair compare to the love and care that all these people putting on this farm!
Really lovely people! You receive a very friendly welcome and receive clear explanations. You're given as much freedom as possible to cuddle your horse and get to know him or her! The horses look very well cared for, and the place exudes tranquility. We went on a sunset ride, and it was beautiful! In short, highly recommended!
We had a one-hour horse ride and it was fun. As we were beginners, they prepared for us docile horses that made the ride smooth and pleasant. The staff was really nice during our visit.
Fantastic 2 hour hack in valley and hills on a cold but sunny December day. Really friendly staff and great hack leader who spoke fabulous English and shared his enthusiasm for riding, nature and the area. His knowledge of the local wildlife, plant and tree life made the already enjoyable experience a tour in itself. Highly recommend anyone with decent riding skills to enjoy this amazing way to see parts of the Algarve.
We went for two rides during our holiday. One slower ride with an inexperienced rider then a faster ride later in the week with more experienced riders. The team at QPA are lovely, very helpful and made us very welcome. The horses are happy and well cared for.

A brilliant way to get immersed in the world of horses with very friendly people and stunning scenery. Everyone at the stables was very friendly and seemed to be happy to answer my million questions about horse care and riding. This was a really important part of making my holiday enjoyable and was especially appreciated as I was by myself. I really enjoyed it and it was exactly what I wanted from my first riding holiday.
This trail is a fantastic trip for those wanting to do a slightly shorter trek, enjoying stunning scenery, great food, lovely horses and generally speaking, plenty of sunshine! It really was a fantastic five days, with great company and lots of fun.
Had a great trek with a friendly guide and very well behaved horses. Great way to see another side of the algarve, away from the sea, but also very close to Lagos.
Highly recommend. Had a trek today here and my little girl had a little spin around their farm. She is very nervous and they were very good with her. The horses are very calm and the trails are lovely. Would highly recommend for both beginners and experience riders alike – I got to have a good trot and canter and great chat with Ellie.
We couldn't have asked for a better experience! Only a short drive out of Lagos, a quaint Quinta with well cared for horses, some even rescues. The horses had been selected for us and preparations finished while we donned our helmets. Super friendly and knowledgeable guides took us through the surrounding hills, allowing for a trot even with the kids on leashed horses. A total thumbs up!
We have just returned from an hour long trek at QPA and could not be more impressed! The scenery is beautiful and tranquil - you get a real sense of the rural Algarve. The horses were very obviously well cared for, the staff friendly and knowledgeable. The telephone booking process was impressive and I was asked for the weights and heights of riders - we were all perfectly matched to our horses. When my youngest daughter's horse decided the grass in one field looked too good to resist, our guide was there straight away to help! She knew exactly what she was doing and made us feel incredibly comfortable.
